Super Simple Spiritual Sunday #1

Have you ever heard the dinner rule, “Never Discuss Religion or Politics?” I don’t practice that rule by the way. LOL There’s one more item that shoud be added to that list, and that’s, “Never Discuss Religion, Politics or CREATION SCIENCE!” I’ve never witnessed so many tempers flying as I have when watching people debate the topics of creation and evolution. My THEORY is that when a creationist finds himself as an object of scorn, it’s simply a spiritual battle going on for the heart, mind and loyalty of the evolutionist. The creationist KNOWS where His trust and loyalties remain, and that is in the Word and Heart of the One who said that He is Maker of Heaven and Earth. To deny that as a Christian is like being unfaithful to our spouse! Evolutionists take the stand of the Christian VERY personal. That’s why there are so many flaming arrows. The very powers of darkness that attempt to keep the blinders on the evolutionist are shaken since a conviction in the spirit is taking place.
I had been in a forum recently where many heated exchanges were taking place. I prayerfully shared in truth and love what was on my heart, in an attempt to open a few eyes. I must admit, my first inclination was to jump in fists flying first, but I knew that would only make matters worse. So, in addition to sharing a few of my favorite creation site links, I’m going to share my quote with you that I left on the forum that day. This is an example for anyone who may not know what to say to quench the flaming arrows. I must say, by His grace, it worked!
Evolution, the big bang theory is just that, a theory that it is taught as fact. It takes faith to believe in evolution. I believe it takes MORE faith than what it takes to believe in the creation account. Evolution supporters may not even realize this, but they are actually backing a belief that reduces and discredits God’s account of His lovingly creating mankind and everything else that we see around us. Nowhere do we find in His Holy Word, even a hint that it took Him billions of years to make us, quite the contrary. He tells us that He made us in 7 days and this leads me to ask why He took so long?! He could’ve made us in a millisecond, if that! He chose 7 days as a model for us to follow. One week then rest from our labor as most of us still do. We are not a product of chance. You are no accident. Our Lord with all power and love created every hair on your head. God tells us that we are of flesh like the animals BUT are very different. Our genetic material is very different. The big bang theorists totally divorce God from His creation and place death, dying and suffering way before the lives and account of Adam and Eve. It undermines the Gospel. We are told in His Word that death came about from our sin, the first couple that God created. God looked upon His creation and said that it was very good. Death was not a part of the beginning. It is a curse brought on by the fall of mankind. He died on the cross to redeem that which was lost. Jesus loves you very much. In His Love…………………..

GREAT list! I absolutely LOVE Answers in Genesis. We had a speaker from there at our homeschool convention 2 years ago (Carl Kerby) and he was amazing!! He did an amazing workshop on worldviews! We highly recommend AIG and their ministry.
